I didn’t used to think that way. I’m detail oriented and love to plan. I’m a comprehensive type who leaves no stone unturned.

Now I’m a proponent of the “Just Do It” crowd. I’m not saying not to aim for premium. What I’ve learned is that getting to premium before starting is impossible. And that hurts. And that hurt doesn't matter. Because I’m too old and life is too short to get my ducks in a row. Has this ever happened to you - you get your ducks in a row - then things change and you need some new ducks?

What I’ve learned is that for some things, intricate plans are obsolete before we even get started. For some things, it’s best to run with your idea and build the plane while you’re flying it. Not for everything, but for some things.

It’s incredible what retrospect does. I would have NEVER imagined myself saying any of this before...
